Network meeting Carbon Farming
A follow-up has been organized to the public private partnership PPS Carbon Farming meeting that took place earlier this year in January. On Thursday, October 17th, a second meeting was held in collaboration with the "Verdienen met Carbon Farming" project by ZLTO ("Zuidelijke Land- en Tuinbouworganisatie" or Southern Agriculture and Horticulture Organization"), to exchange experiences on current carbon farming pilots in practice.
The event was led by Marjon Krol, project leader of the "Verdienen met Carbon farming" project. Additionally, explanations were provided around the CRCF (Carbon Removals and Carbon Farming) framework, in relation to Carbon Farming. Sarah Sijsses [LVVN] gave a presentation from a policy perspective, and Jan Peter Lesschen [WUR] from a research perspective.
Three presentations explained the methodology and practical experiences related to carbon sequestration. Project leader of PPS Carbon Farming, Jennie van der Kolk, provided an explanation of the methodology being developed within the project. Stephan Bouwman (ZLTO) and Lyanne van den Berg (LBI; "Louis Bolk Instituut") provided explanations on carbon sequestration in the supply chain and practical experiences with the SNK- ("Stichting Nationale Koolstofmarkt" or "National Carbon Market Foundation") method, respectively.
In the afternoon, several workshops were held to discuss various dilemmas.
