About
This Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Carbon Farming Project comprises an elaboration, assessment and testing in practice for the implementation of financial incentives and compensation for carbon sequestration in agriculture in the Netherlands.
Cooperation
The PPS is a cooperation between private partners Agrifirm, Royal Cosun, Friesland Campina and Rabobank, the ministry of Agriculture and Wageningen Environmental Research . It is based on a defined and widely-supported methodology and elaborate protocol for farmers to stimulate and support sustainable soil management, biodiversity and carbon sequestration in the soil.
Project team

The project was submitted by Agrifirm and supported in part by Wageningen Research Foundation and Wageningen Environmental Research (WenR), in collaboration with independent consultancy firm Centre for Agriculture and Environment (CLM) and research institute Louis Bolk Instituut (LBI).
